Bella studied audio journalism at UC Berkeley’s graduate school of journalism. She trained under audio journalists, like Shereen Marisol Meraji, Tobin Low, Queena Kim, John Fecile, and Monica Campbell. During her time as an undergraduate student at CSU, Long Beach, she was mentored by Nick Roman. She produced and hosted two podcast series, which she created, for DIG MAG and was an award-winning radio journalist for 22 West Media.
